Meet the team

DR. CONNOR BURK
Co-owner and Clinical Director of CIAPT
As a dedicated advocate for health and human movement, I co-founded CIAPT to revolutionize physical therapy and the fitness industry through a global approach to treatment and training.
Over ten years ago I suffered a career-ending knee injury while playing lacrosse at Lynchburg College. That moment changed my life trajectory as I went through months of physical therapy that never truly addressed the problem. I was unable to return to the field and left with chronic knee pain for five years. Based on this experience, I dedicated my life to studying everything I possibly could about health and human movement. This ultimately led me to High Point University to get my Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Not fully satisfied with the approach I was taught in school, I continued my pursuit of knowledge and tried every methodology I could find. I traveled the country to learn and train from some of the top leaders in the physical therapy, sports performance, and manual therapy fields. Taking bits and pieces from everyone I learned, I finally saw just how interconnected the workings of the human body are which has shaped the approach we use at CIAPT.
In my career thus far, I have published peer reviewed articles on global systems, developed new athletic testing procedures, and taken courses and certifications in Dry Needling and Spinal Manipulation. This has refined a treatment and training methodology that accelerates and maximizes results through restoring efficiency to the entire system and integrates all aspects of health. I’ve worked with thousands of people from all walks of life. I have treated professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS and the Olympics to collegiate and high school athletes across all sports.
My mission and passion remains the same as the day I was injured; to help people overcome the burden of pain and injury so they can return to doing what they love and maximize their health and potential beyond what they thought was possible.
When not caring for patients, I enjoy working out at Crush It Coliseum, running, hiking, cooking, reading, getting out on the lake, and spending time with my loving wife, Shannon, and our dog Raisin.

DR. KRISTIN WYATT
Physical Therapist
Growing up sports and fitness was always a large part of my life, but with that came several significant injuries. While recovering and returning to sports I discovered how complex and interconnected the human body really is. I became fascinated and passionate about learning the human body, how it moves, and how to optimize it.
Being an equestrian brought me to Kansas State University where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology. I then attended University of Nebraska Medical Center, where I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I have since pursued specialized certifications in Strengths and Conditioning, Dry needling, and Blood Flow Restriction. I have worked with a wide array of individuals, from T-ball athletes, to NFL running backs, to an Olympic Skeleton competitor.
As someone who is dedicated to pursuing the highest quality of life, I join the CIAPT team in order to share my passion for health, movement, and physical therapy. I believe in the “Crush It” mentality and am excited to help individuals experience the highest standard in care.

DR. JARED HRYNIEWICKI
Physical Therapist
I’ve always been fascinated by human potential, which led me to earn my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, TN. From the start, my goal has been to explore the full capacity of the mind, body, and spirit. I’ve never been satisfied with simply going through the motions—because true transformation isn’t just about repairing what’s broken; it’s about unlocking what’s possible. My mission is to guide people toward their best selves, helping them heal physically, strengthen mentally, deepen their sense of purpose, and live with greater intention.
Movement is more than exercise—it’s a language that connects the mind, body, and spirit, fueling resilience, clarity, and long-term vitality. My passion lies in bridging the gap between rehab and performance, helping people move beyond pain, rebuild confidence, and tap into the deeper potential they were created for.
Let’s get to work!

ABBY
Billing Specialist
I was born into a big, very close, family where love, support, and togetherness were the foundation of my upbringing. Growing up, I was active in sports and deeply involved with my church, both of which helped shape my character, discipline, and sense of community.
My life took a sudden turn in October, 2022 when I was involved in a traumatic car accident that left me with both femurs broken, a shattered tibial plateau, and three brain bleeds. The recovery process was long and difficult, but it was also life-changing.
Through the care, compassion, and dedication of my family and the people who helped me heal, I discovered a deep passion for wanting to help others in the same way.
That experience didn’t just change my life—it gave it a new purpose. It inspired me to walk alongside others in their hardest moments, just as others had done for me.
In my free time, I enjoy working out, spending time with my family, boyfriend, and friends, and staying active in the things that bring me joy and connection.
Come on in! Can’t wait to see you
